Quick weather update.

There were reports yesterday of snow in Dolan Springs, yep snow in northwest Arizona, in October. Us... Well we didn't get any snow, but we did wake up to a nice brisk 32° outside this morning. And a very warm 39° inside. Welcome to Arizona.

Sunday projects.

Worked on the school/ office/ winter rm. Finished the siding, and installed a few extra windows. Will be installing the storm door next week sometime.

Worked on the ranch...

Continued construction on our school/office/winter residence. Today we closed in the gap between the floor of the room and the trailer next to it. With luck, come Sunday we'll have the roof finished.

Construction resumes

Been working around the ranch for a couple of days and made some headway.

Another weekend in the books.

I know I've been away for awhile, but life here has slowed a bit. We are in between seasons right now, so there isn't much to say about the weather. Been real busy at work and trying to get our cars situated, so not a lot of work has gone on out here.
On another note, there has been sightings of black bear in the area, and a neighbor has called us to tell us to watch for a Mountain Lion down the road. We haven't seen anything down here, but will keep our eyes open!

Doing it redneck style...

Have to go down and get propane, sold the truck a few wks ago, now I use the next best thing, a mini-mini truck! Actually the suzuks work better, and I can go off rd all the way...

What a night...

According to the Las Vegas weather service, we had winds at 30 mph last night! Then this morning it started to rain! I didn't get very much sleep, but no worries, it's an early day today!

It has been ahwile

There just hasn't been that much to report the last two weeks. Fall is here, the temp. has dropped, and we are behind in building. On the good side we now have a Jeep and another on the way, so the road is a non issue.
We had came to the conclusion that we were going to have to change our car or the road, the car won. We no longer have to stress on road conditions.
Besides that, we are just living our lives. Life off the grid seems to be just as busy as life on.

Been a few days since my last post.

The temp has really dropped! Last night was by far the coldest, woke up at 4am to 38°! bt 7am it did warm up a bit, and there was enough light to take a pic...
