Had no idea we were going to do this today...

So here is an explanation of what we did today.

And what it looks like without all the white boxes. Still need to add all the small silhouettes that we still need to make. (Rabbits, Squirrels, Quail, Coyotes, etc) 

We'll see how long the tarp lasts, if we have more wind like we've had, it may not be long! 

Put some time into the range today, built a shade and put in some target holders and skeet thrower.... Let the fun begin!

Been working hard...

I think we invented a new sport... mobile land skeet... just have someone in the back, head out at about 45mph... what could go wrong?

Sorry for the lack of posts...

We've all been very sick this last week. The desert is still in full bloom, the temp's been around the mid 80's all week, and we've seen some of the worst winds in at least the past 4 years. The weather is very strange this year, as a matter of fact, this morning we woke up to 47 degrees! On the last week of May? We've also had a bad dry spell, some clouds came in last night giving us a 30% chance of rain, but changed direction at the very last minute, when a high wind came up from the south.
today should be a nice one, it's sunny and so far no wind! So with a bit of luck, we can all feel better, and get back to work!

Waiting on the Pharmacy to call on a prescription for the wife, she was diagnosed with  Strep throat... never good. So I have a few minutes to kill...

Never know what you'll find.

The little one and I went out for a little ride tonight, before we went out to a nice Mothers day dinner... At the local truck stop, a story for another time...

Anyway, while out trail riding we came across a place that looks as if someone was going to do a bit of prospecting. It looks recent, and like they had a small Bobcat, or something. Well, out here you never know.

Despite all the illness we made headway today

Had a good day today, we were able to get the door in, and hang some drywall... It is getting warm out there, we hit 90 degrees today. It was an early quit, we ran out of drywall and had to come into town and get some more....

Working vacation...

Well the first day of vacation was non-eventful, the three of us is sick, I had to work till 11 last night, and our little one woke up with a high fever... And this was supposed to be a working vacation... I think plans have been modified.

We did work on the place a bit, installed an evaportive cooler this morning, and made some more headway on completing the master bedroom, with luck we are feeling better tomorrow and make some more headway.

The wife wanted windsor wall for around her trees, but after putting it in she decided that the wood looked better, any thoughts?

Had some fun at the rod run...

Well, little one did great at her gymnastics meet. Taking 3rd overall. She was a little disappointed with her performance, but had fun none the less. Afterwards we headed down to the Rod Run to check out the cars, I could only check out one street this year, just not feeling that well, but the little one really enjoyed it! There were a few very interesting rods this year, I really like these two...

Since moving to the ranch I gave up ever owning a rod but I think these could be the perfect solution...

And after all that we had a cake for the wifes B-Day and watched a movie, now back to the ranch and to get to work... ya right, straight to sleep I go!

Snow on the last week of April?

The last storm brought snow flurry's all day, and I thought Spring was here... now watch next week is going to bring 115 degrees! 

On another note, taking the weekend off to recoup, been sick the last few days. Little one has a Gymnastics meet today, and the route 66 rod run is this weekend also, so i have to go check that out... I should also mention that tomorrow is the wifes birthday
