Very important question...

Take the time to rebuild, or sale for scrap? 

I should mention, we’ve had this since the showroom and it has 197k and a new engine sitting in the garage. Top has been on it most of the time and it was garaged for the first 20 years. #overlandbound #LifeDecisions


So I'm thinking this machine needs to be rebuilt. Here's what I'm thinking....

• New motor
• From radiator to tail pipe, 
• Going all mechanical eliminating all the 1985 smog headaches, going back to an old school carburetor.
• New braking system, from master to all four slave cylinders (why it was parked five years ago)
• New tank, and fuel system
• Exterior I would like to add stock graphics then wax the original paint, however the fiberglass top needs to be repainted.
• Wheels, I'm digging the solid painted rims, however chrome has a special place in my heart! 
• Interior is like new, just need front seats and a new carpet kit

Just winding down

I don't get a long weekend, in fact I only get one day this weekend, so I'm going to take the opportunity to enjoy a tall glass of rum and listen tot he coyotes who are yipping in the distance.

Overland Expo West 2019 Trip

This is our third year at the event that is held in Flagstaff, Arizona at the Ft. Tuthill County Park. We were only able to attend one day, Saturday. While I took a few pictures myself, I'll post links to others videos that will do a much better job than myself documenting the event.

The Overland Expo West

So many make fun of the expo, in a lot of ways this is the prom of overlanding. It's a time to meet people from both real life and the online world, show off what you've been building and selling for the past year, and get ideas on what you want to build in the coming year. We really enjoy it. 

Many of the vehicles are so over the top, with every item made you can bolt on. Everyone likes to focus on the builds, which are all awesome, but the real stars of the show are the people you meet! This year was a fun one for us, we had a blast catching up with old friends and making new ones.

#Arizona sunsets never disappoint, especially during thunderstorms!
