Were did spring go?

We took a quick drive today to have a picnic, and a hike at Burro Creek. It was nice even with the 90+ degrees... Still want to know what happened to spring, we go from coats and carrying firewood, to shorts, spray bottles, and fans. Oh life in the sticks!

More crazy weather

First week of April, after the warmest March on record, we get a... Snow storm? Very crazy weather. We did decide to take the small car out and put it through it's paces. We found it does not like the mud, but did damn well in the snow. Go figure. Little one and I had a great afternoon... That was until we got home and had a flat tire :( somewhere close we picked up an 8 penny nail. Fun part is we'll have to wait till tomorrow before we can get it fixed.

New wheels update...

Well the little car is working out great. I knew it would handle the goat trail we call a road, but I am shocked as to how well it does it! It does feel weird to own a foreign job, and I'm just not used to motors running at such high RPM's down the highway. It was nice filling it up! It only has a 12 gallon tank, so sticker shock was not as bad. I was also really nervous about it being front wheel drive, that has turned out to be an irrational concern, I think the front wheel drive is handling the roads better than any of my rear wheel only car/trucks I've had out here.

All in all I'm impressed with the Soul. Very nice car... If only I could tow with it ;)
