A little quiet corner of Oklahoma this morning. I’ve been contemplating the Ram, what it lacks in off-road abilities it makes up for long distance comfort and gas mileage. On our last trip through the Ozarks we managed 18.6 mpg over 504 miles. While a slide in camper or trailer would have been a better choice for our style of camping, I know we wouldn’t be seeing this kind of gas mileage and exploring small twisty roads in towns like Eureka Springs Arkansas would have been impossible. Overall I’m happy with my choices, however I need to figure out an awning system. For the second time we had to deal with a lot of rain, and sitting in the truck is not a solid plan.
